Howard Lindzon

General Partner

Howard Lindzon is co-founder and CEO of StockTwits® – a social network for traders and investors to share real-time ideas and information. StockTwits was recently named “one of the top 10 most innovative companies in web” by FastCompany and one of the “50 best websites” by Time magazine.

Mr. Lindzon has more than twenty years experience in the financial community acting in both an entrepreneurial and investing capacity. With a unique vision for starting and successfully managing innovative companies, he is the General Partner of Social Leverage, a holding company that invests in early stage web businesses. Howard continues to manage a hedge fund he started in 1998.

He created Wallstrip, and more than 400 original web video shows, which was purchased by CBS Corp. in 2007. He is an active angel with many success angel investments including: Rent.com, (purchased by Ebay in 2005 for $415 million), Golfnow.com (purchased by Comcast in June 2008), and Lifelock (lead investors include Bessemer Venture Partners and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers). Mr. Lindzon's new media and internet business investments also include: Limos.com, Blogtalkradio.com, Buddy Media, Ticketfly, Assistly, Bit.ly and Tweetdeck.

Mr. Lindzon received an MBA at Arizona State University and an MIM from The American Graduate School of International Management.

Tom Peterson

General Partner

Tom Peterson is the CEO and General Partner of the Social Leverage Group of Companies, including Social Leverage, LLC, and Social Leverage Group, LLC, both operating and acceleration entities that invest in early stage web-enabled businesses.

He is also Co-Founder of StationCreator Inc., a recently funded start-up with patent pending technology allowing anyone to run an online TV station through a rich interface for scheduling videos from multiple sources around the web.

As an Angel Investor the past ten years and a long-term investor and advisor to Lindzon’s hedge fund, Lindzon Capital Partners, Peterson’s combined portfolios have included companies such as: GolfNow, Lifelock, TubeMogul, Buddy Media, Tweetdeck, Assistly, Betaworks, GoInstant and more.

Peterson manages the day-to-day activities of Social Leverage and assists portfolio companies in need with operational and business development expertise.

As featured in Institutional Investor’s article on Super-angels, Lindzon and Peterson are depicted as helping to reorganize early-stage investing with disciplined capital, uniform investing rules and a sense of community that traditional venture capital has begun taking notice of.

With a high level of connectivity and passion for technology Peterson enjoys early stage investing and entrepreneurs open to value-add investors.

He holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta and a MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State.

Chris Corriveau

Technical Advisor

Chris is the CTO at StockTwits, the leading social financial platform for sharing ideas. He has been responsible for the technology and innovation that has made StockTwits one of Times '50 Best Websites' and “one of the top 10 most innovative companies in web” by FastCompany. Chris leads the development team in creating one of the best financial APIs for the social web and constantly innovating to to create big financial data available to a multitude of fintech sites and users.

Prior to StockTwits, Chris was the CTO and co-founder of Genevate, a highly successful web-applications firm that built Ruby on Rails-based platforms for companies all over the world, including the first StockTwits website.

Chris is an advisor and mentor to many companies in San Diego and beyond. He also worked in Silicon Valley after graduation from Cogswell College for Cisco Systems, and for startups GetMedia and OpenGrid.
